Our People
IDG was built by financial services professionals who have designed and delivered the programmes they now lead. From BPO operations to finance transformation, procurement reform and large-scale change delivery.
When you engage IDG, you work directly with the people who have done it before.
Insight and Design Group was founded on a simple conviction: major transformation programmes fail not from lack of strategy, but from insufficient delivery capability and the absence of people who have actually run one. IDG exists to provide exactly that: senior practitioners who have operated from the inside, and who do not hand over a design and leave.
Our founders have collectively led major outsourcing mobilisations, built and scaled procurement functions managing billions in supplier spend, delivered complex regulatory change programmes, and driven finance transformation across the UK insurance market.
We do not deploy junior consultants to run the work while senior partners manage the client relationship. Every IDG engagement is led and delivered by director level practitioners with genuine domain expertise in your industry.
That means faster diagnosis, more credible challenge of the status quo, and delivery that reflects an understanding of how financial services organisations actually work, not how they appear in a process map.
Senior practitioners who have operated from the inside. No junior associates. No handoffs.

When an engagement calls for it, we draw on a carefully curated network of sector specialists: all practitioner grade, all insurance literate.
IDG operates as a lean, senior led firm by design. Our founding team handles the majority of client work directly. Where scale, specialist depth, or specific technical capability is required, we engage from a network of trusted associates built over decades in the industry.
Every associate we deploy meets the same standard as our founding team: genuine hands-on experience in their domain, a track record of delivery in financial services, and the seniority to operate without supervision at client level.
We do not operate a bench model. Our network is engaged selectively, on the basis of fit, not availability.
Qualified actuaries and risk practitioners with insurance-specific expertise
Architecture, data engineering and digital transformation specialists
FCA, Solvency II and Consumer Duty specialists from inside the industry
Organisational design and people change experts across insurance operations
01
Our work is grounded in operational reality. We have run the functions we now lead engagements in, which means we know where the bodies are buried and where the real value lies.
02
We tell clients what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. Our model depends on long-term relationships built on trust, not on selling the next engagement.
03
We measure ourselves by outcomes, not outputs. Frameworks and reports matter only insofar as they drive tangible change in how an organisation operates and performs.
Tell us about your challenge. We'll give you a straight assessment of whether and how we can help. No pitch deck, no junior team, no wasted time.
